Panzram

DC Martin

Drowning down the sound swimming in my head,
Floating there for all to see,
swollen, bloated, dead.

Anything that’s on my mind, can easily be read,
Just look at all the things I’ve done
and hear the words I’ve said.
So why do you question me, why do you doubt?
Why won’t you believe in me,
when I tell you what I’m about?

Many have fallen over,
and there are many more to fall,
Till I breathe and heave in exhaustion
from the slaying of the all.

My intention isn’t murder, more like suicide,
If I lay them down a million times,
they may finally take what’s mine.
I pray for the end of everything, even you and me,
the eradication and extermination that will finally set me free.

This poem is inspired by the unrepentant serial killer named Carl Panzram. His only wish was to kill as many as he could and to die. The only known person to ever go to the gallows and tell the executioner to "hurry up you hoosier bastard, I could kill 10 people while you're messing around"
