But To Do Or Die

Religion as we know
is just another show.
Believing us to be
sinners of the highest degree.

The rabbi rambles on
as the priest laughs along.
Men and women, never can be
on the platform called equality.

Where wine thrills whilst blood spills
and the law forgives it as insanity.
The pandit chants on
as the imam looks upon.

Peace married infinity
which led her far away.
Thousands call her name
she’s still finding her way.

Power is a dangerous game
where can one complain?
It’s but to do or die
that’s society’s lie.

Leading us to be
donkeys of frivolity.
