Dreamer

Fading from withered leaves,
the silence lulls on.
And in that silence, the dormouse sleeps
caressing her dreams from beyond.

Lachrymose behind her closed eyelids
cascades her cheeks sadly,
but she watches the silhouettes of sailing ships
with magic from her loveless fairies.

Decadence embraces her quiet voice,
her throat writhing in agony.
Yet she cherishes her innocence and naive choice,
and adorns her sins blissfully.

Marred by regret, by virtue, by vice,
she watches them fall, her unborn buds.
But the petals stay, if only to entice,
while haunted by wishes, soiled by mud.

Fading from withered leaves,
the silence lulls on.
And in that silence, the dormouse screams
from the fairytales she listened to once.
