The Wizard

The sunlight has faded
The sounds of the night came,
Which frighten, most humans away
And sent them running back to the camp fire

Screams came to all our ears
From of course the shadows afar
Of darkness by the forest trees

Quickened heartbeats beaded
the strangeness of animal’s cries came aloud
Now come to be in the shadows
Nearby their eyes, lighten to us by the campfire

The orange horizon came in life a mist
Our eyes watered from the coming fear
Scrawled of sounds came surrounding
Around our dense shadow im-mixed
By the dancing flames now demisted

Frighten appearances standing
Shoulder by shoulders
Shivering uncontrolled reactions
by winter sunset demisted sudden
And in so did the campfire light went out

Persecuted in a forest was silent
We all have come to be afraid,
What broke the silences?
Were our teeth chattering aloud?

Of limned window less eyes,
Looking about the darkness
Bright green eyes peering back
behind blinds of hungry over size orbs

The earth seemed to have shaken
Haloed grounds of the creatures of the night
Will come out and feed,
On what ever they like
