The major difference between the dark and the light:
In the light, you see me.
In the dark, you see the monsters inside me.
In the light, you see my clothes.
In the dark, you see my scars.
In the light, you see a tree.
In the dark, I see my way out.

The darkness guides me through the pain, the light just emphasizes it.

....I'm still not out of this daze...caught in this world seeing through the haze...lost in the thought of your touch once more...my matted broken heart so sore....with the pain...of all the shame...I'm still not out of this daze...

Like fire upon blood,
woe is dim-lit,
