This man of white

Robes of the silkiest satin. The softest shade of blue you could ever imagine gently protects his ginger hands. Skin like mocha perfection, yet smooth and yielding. The strongest green eyes; they made me feel like I was looking into a spyglass at the greenest meadows of Spring. Long smoky lashes billow around them, framing them amazingly. His perfectly chiseled cheekbones make him a very gorgeous character indeed. Short spiked black hair that seemed to scream sophistication completed the look. White as snow, he glowed with such radiance that you could almost swear he was an angel just by looking at him. Then suddenly, he pulls his robes off to show his entire outfit. On his hip he has a set of (obviously freshly sharpened) daggers in an oblong sheath strapped in place. He wears white dress slacks and a long sleeve button down dress shirt un-tucked with a loose... Relapse

BloodBiscuit

22 Dec, 2012 04:36 AM

The black sky smelt of burning wood, and campfires. The aging mans hair was damp. He had not hurt anyone in so long but the pressure in him was building. He loved doing it. The way it made him feel. Then again in 1581 you could kill much easier without being caught. He walked to the edge of the forest. His head pulsed, he dropped to the forest floor and began to hyperventilate. He was sweating from his forehead and his neck. He dropped his travel bag, and his remaining water spilled into the dirt as he collapsed. When he awoke His eyes were weary, and very cold. His pupils grew tiny. He stood from the ground and picked up nothing, he walked to the closest house. A small cottage. Inside he found a small sword. And a man sleeping. A farmer most likely. He looked at him strangely and... [Read More]

My Last

Fallen_Angels_Cant_fly

I awoke this morning with a feeling of peace. It was eerie. My coffee maker emitted a familiarly delicious aroma. My eyes crusted over with the dust of sleep would not function properly until the first cup of rejuvenation had been ingested. I stumbled from my room down the long green carpeted hallway, Cursing the day from under my breath. The sunshine danced happily across the floating speckles in the air and leaped from the window sill to the carpeted living space. Somethings should be forced to wait until the afternoon, I thought. I ransacted the cupboard for my cool black mug, and moved religiously towards the maker of the sweet brown nectar of gods. The kitchen linoleum was chilly. This is an odd occurence in the summer. I tripped over my wifes cat who had been rummaging through some of my old college papers. The gray dwarf cat would... [Read More]

Scratches

Zane A. Murray

2:00 A.M. Have you ever had the feeling that you are never alone in your room? Something awake and breathing in the corner, or a breeze from your closet creaking slowly open, the abysmal void of darkness filling your room space, but never the sight of an entity that you imagine to be tall, made of petrified hands, its eyes being as bright as an old flashlight? Have you ever been so scared in your life, that you’ve had your entire body itch like you've rolled in fiberglass, sweat coming from all sides like you've been in a sauna for several hours, your body shaking so hard like you're outside naked in a blizzard, you start to cry, hoping you'll fall asleep, but the tears just won’t let you? Well that night was something else. My queen sized bed, tightly tucked into the back of the room, is somewhat comfortable... [Read More]

Reality Of The Mindless

Brody Battersby

Some say using big words are just ineffective, useless, demeaning, and plainly idiotic. I, myself, enjoy the use of longer words. Like serene, idiotic, scrupulous, and others such as those. But, when making a point one must not use language that another cannot comprehend. As such, when arguing or stating facts, one does not exaggerate their vocabulary to heights of which the other cannot see, hear, or process. A police officer does not come to a house and say: “Madame, I do regret to dispose of your heavenly evening but your daughter is farther and passed as she can get”. They say it how the fact is, “Your daughter is dead”. But a writer writes in elegant hand and exposes the words like a painting of rhymes, metaphors, and insatiable critique. Thus, when reading a poem to a passed loved one, one must choose to be as elegant as a... [Read More]

Helena

Borloff

13 Nov, 2013 02:48 PM

Whilst reading the obituaries in the local newspaper, I came across the name of an old acquaintance of mine whom I hadn't seen in a number of years. In our youth, we were the best of friends. We went through school and on to college together and were almost inseperable. That was, until a miss Helena Watt entered our lives with a certain air of confident beauty that swept both of us off of our feet. We were both besotted. She knew this and she played on it to the extent that it broke up our friendship and we lost touch. The notice said nothing of the cause of death, only that it had been sudden and that he'd be sadly missed by all who knew him. This saddened me greatly as, reading the obituary notice, many fond memories of our youthful frolics came rushing back in a flood of... [Read More]

Existence

Cassandra(Crimson)Marshall

Who is Existence? What has this goddess done for us? Where did she originate form? What is the amazing story of her legend? To answer these questions we would have to travel back through the stardust before Space and Time. Before breathing and bleeding was even a thought. Or perhaps before thought was thought. We would have to travel back to the very beginning. To the birth of Existence. This was when the universe was fresh and black. It looked like a blank piece of construction paper, well almost blank. It would have been empty, except for the tiny speckles of atoms and particles dancing around the blackness, glinting silver. These are known as the universe originals. Back then, they were the only movement in the universe. There had been quite a few of the originals, but out of them all, only two had a child. It seems that it... [Read More]

Shadows

Alejandra

Pure silence covered the whole house. You could hear your own breathing from wall to wall. And darkness was my friend. Shadows were everywhere to be seen, they chased you. All I could do was run, behind my guide. We both felt it coming, but we never said a word. From door to door there was nothing but black illusions. Tension was everywhere though, but the kind that you felt in your bones. And I for sure did not want to get caught in the act. The followers were getting near. There's no place to hide now. She took me by the hand and quickly we moved from place to place. I could hear her mumble, but it only made me worry more. What can you say, I was a kid of four at the time. And for running in complete darkness and hearing voices from everywhere is what made... [Read More]

Torment { Tormentor }

CassiopeiaNova

20 Jul, 2013 10:00 PM

Rushing through the woods late at night. Deep into the darkest corner, where the agonizing screams can not be heard. Walking into a small cabin. Marvelling at All the horrors within I thirst for the sweet smell of blood to fill the air. I take the next victim; unconscious I tightly bind them to a low table. Awaiting them to wake once more. I clean the dry blood off my tools from a previous session. The last body had been disposed of only hours ago, yet I had not been satisfied with the pain, agony and blood. I bend down as they start to wake. "Welcome to hell" I whisper in her ear. "Never again will you see the light of day." Small sobs echo through the room. "My sweet little pet, don't you cry." I stoke her hair softly. "It'll end just as quickly as it began." Walking over... [Read More]

The Valley of Dead

Marco B. S.

11 Jan, 2013 08:31 PM

My friend and I walked alone today. We did talk a lot at the time, but when we came closer to his home, he started to taunt me a little because I can be easy to scare. He counted all the times he had fooled me the last week. I feel a little like a coward, but I know he didn't want to be mean. He asked me if I was enough of a man to walk alone through the valley of death at night; I didn't know what it was so I asked him. After a few seconds, he answered me: “The valley of death is a place full of evil; your worst nightmare WILL come true. It is a place where you heart will stun just at the sight of the horror there. There are a lot of rumors about the valley, but one thing is definitely for... [Read More]
